Danielle Guimond (JEWELRY MAKING)
Danielle was ten years old when her dad taught her how to use his old 35mm Canon AE-1. From that day on, the camera became a tool for her self-expression and her creativity began to blossom. She started to explore and see the world in this whole new perspective. It was beautiful and exciting. Photography has always intrigued her because of its natural ability to quietly borrow moments of time. Danielle's passions range from darkroom photography, fashion and mixed media. As an artist, she is on a constant quest to learn and apply new techniques to my craft. Her work continues to evolve through each new experience of my journey.
Art has always been a part of her life, and creating it helps keep Danielle grounded. As an educator, she find herself exploring and seeing the world with that same excitement she had as a child. She tries to engage that same sense of curiosity into her classroom. There is beauty in each conversation and moment she shares with students. Every project begins with that conversation, and spurs ideas, which turn into goals. As the weeks progress, these ideas come alive through photography, ceramics and fashion. In Danielle's classroom, you will find students eager to refine their work after critiques, allowing their original idea to grow as they reach their goal.
